"DeepL Makes Me Feel Way Less Anxious About Translations"
I use deepl all the time for client emails and the occasional internal doc, it feels like a lifesaver. The biggest thing for me is that it doesn’t give off that sketchy “where is my text vanishing to?” feeling like some random free translator sites do. Before I started using it for work, I actually went through their data security info, because I was not about to risk a privacy disaster. It gave me enough peace of mind to move forward, and the paid plan not storing translations is a huge deal. It’s simple, fast, and I don’t sit there dramatically questioning my life choices every time I paste something in.

"Good for basics, not so much for nuance"
deepl works fine when I’m just checking simple words or short phrases, but I tend to notice the tone right away, and that’s where it falls apart for me. Some translations come out sounding a little off, or the meaning shifts just enough that I can’t ignore it. I ended up rewriting a lot of the sentences myself, so at that point it didn’t really save me much time...

"Works well"
Works good on my phone. It just loads slow sometimes, but it’s fine.

"Good for bigger languages , but limited"
I’ve used DeepL a few times and it’s solid for the major languages , but I ran into issues when I needed some smaller ones . They just weren’t available , which was a bit frustrating . It’s fine for occasional use , but for me it’s not reliable enough for regular work .

"I use DeepL often, it’s just really…"
I use deepl often, it’s just really easy to deal with!! I paste in the text, get the translation super fast, and the layout is simple enough that I don’t have to think about it too much... which I appreciate!!! I do still double-check some tricky words here and there, just to be safe, but overall it works really well for me!!

"Easy to Change My Subscription"
I just needed to change my DeepL subscription, and it was painless. Of course I picked the worst time to deal with it when I was already in a rush, but luckily the billing page was easy to find and there weren’t any weird extra steps or hidden options. The cancel and update buttons were clear too. Took maybe 2 minutes total, so I can’t really complain.

"I use DeepL pretty much every…"
I use deepl pretty much every day for quick work-related translations, and it handles my industry terms better than most other tools I’ve tried. It’s not perfect, though. Every now and then it’ll change a specific phrase in a weird way, but overall the translations are clear enough and save me time. Anyway

"Got the help I needed"
They ended up helping me out after I followed up once. Took a little nudge, but yeah, it got sorted.
"Good translation, but the layout can be messy"
The translation itself is good and easy to understand, but the layout gets messy sometimes. A few parts feel unnecessarily cluttered, which makes it a bit harder to read than it needs to be

"I use the DeepL API for a small…"
I use the DeepL API for a small app, the translation quality is usually really solid. That’s not where my frustration is. The problem is the reliability. Some days everything runs smoothly, and then randomly I’ll hit slow responses or errors that force me to retry requests. It doesn’t happen constantly, but it happens enough that I can’t fully trust it in production. I reached out to support and eventually had to escalate the complaint because I wasn’t getting enough clarity around what was going wrong. Support wasn’t bad, but I do wish their API status updates and error details were more transparent. I’m still using it because the translation results are good, but I’m definitely more cautious with it now.

"Bad first impression with the trial"
My first impression of DeepL was frustrating. I cancelled the trial, but still ended up getting charged anyway. When I reached out to support, the replies felt like copy-and-paste messages, and they just kept saying a refund wasn’t possible. Maybe I missed some tiny step somewhere, but from the start it felt really unfair. I won’t be using DeepL again.

"For what I’m paying, DeepL is…"
For what I’m paying, DeepL is worth it. The free version is already helpful, but the paid plan saves me SO much time at work. it’s not the cheapest thing out there, but the quality makes it feel fair to me.

"Translations are solid, but I expected a bit more for free"
The translations themselves are actually good, and the app works smoothly. I just didn’t realize how quickly the free version would start feeling restrictive. I wasn’t expecting unlimited access or anything, but the limits kicked in sooner than I hoped, so it got a little frustrating after a while.

"Suspiciously Clean and Easy to Use"
I actually really like how simple the DeepL page is. It’s not cluttered at all, the buttons are right where you’d expect them, and I can just paste my text in and get on with my day. it’s almost suspicious how clean it is, like they know exactly how to keep us from overthinking it. But hey, if the grand plan is to make translating easier, I’m not complaining.
"Great translations, but still took some checking"
I used DeepL to translate a few PDFs and Word docs for work, the results were really good. The formatting stayed close to the original, which was a relief, and the wording didn’t come out awkward like with some other tools I’ve tried. That said, I still had to go through and check parts of it myself, which was a bit annoying because I was hoping it would be more hands-off. Still, it saved me a lot of time overall.

"Good translations, but the workflow gets annoying"
DeepL’s translations are good, and I use it often. But the integrations with my usual tools feel limited, so I still end up copying and pasting between apps way more than I’d like. It slows me down, especially when I’m trying to get through a lot of work. Also, the reminders can feel a bit aggressive after a while, which gets irritating instead of helpful.

"Such a relief for our team"
I’m so happy with this. It keeps our custom terms correct every time, which takes a huge weight off my shoulders and saves my team so much time. It’s made our work feel a lot less stressful.

"Pretty Natural Feel"
I wasn’t really sure what to expect at first, but after trying it out, it felt natural to me. Nothing felt awkward or forced, and I found myself getting used to it really quickly. Overall, I’d say it feels natural, tbh

"A Translation Rollercoaster"
I’ve been using it for translations, it’s usually decent, but every now and then it takes a dramatic little detour. Most of the time the meaning comes through fine, but the accuracy can definitely vary depending on what you’re translating.

"Translations show up fast"
The translations pop up in just a few seconds, which is sorta exactly what I was hoping for. Nice overall.
